William's Branson Vacation

We went to Branson June 17-22. Grandma and Grandpa M. went with Mommy, Daddy and William. William's first vacation went very well. I think he had a good time. We had a campsite that overlooked Lake Taneycomo in Branson, Mo. William kept getting excited on the dock looking at the water. Daddy let William touch his first trout.

Happy First Father's Day

Happy First Father's Day! The picture and frame were made by William at daycare (with help). When I scanned it on the computer it came out a little blurry. The t-shirt says, "My Dad Rocks".

Sleeping/Eating

William is sleeping through the night much better than he has been. We cut out the overnight feeding a few weeks ago. He ends up waking up at 4 or 4:30am which really isn't fun for me because I get up at 4:45am. But at least he is sleeping most of the night now.

William continues to eat very well. He is between 16 and 17 pounds now. He pretty much likes all of the baby food we are giving him. He makes funny faces when I give him peaches. He makes that face like they are too sweet. I'm going to try the green beans again. He didn't care for them too much the first time. He loves peas just like his Mommy does!

William's first pool party

May 31, William went swimming for the first time in Uncle John and Aunt Denise's heated pool. William really likes the water. There wasn't any crying at all. He loves the tub too.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went camping over the Memorial Day Weekend to Rend Lake. Grandma M, Grandpa M, cousin Alex and cousin Denny went too. Aunt Stephie and Aunt Sandy came over Sunday to spend the day with us. It was a pretty nice weekend. There were a few strong storms Sunday overnight.

Eating baby food--May

William also has started eating baby food. He pretty much likes everything. I don't know if he is too happy with green beans, but we will try them again at a later time. He is growing so fast. He is already wearing 6-9 month outfits. He is so long.

MY SECOND CAMPING TRIP

We went on our second camping trip May 2-4. Uncle Gary and Aunt Sherry met us over at Rend Lake. Grandma and Grandpa M. went too. It was a little bit cool outside, so William and I stayed in the camper most of the time. (in the warm heat!) They caught several crappie and catfish.

DAYCARE PICTURES

The daycare had a company come in and take photos. Boy they really know how to get you to purchase the pictures!

BAPTISM

William was baptized on April 20, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Imperial. He was so good and hardly cried at all. Uncle John and Aunt Debbie served as the godparents. After the baptism, we had a party for him at the house with our families.

FIRST CAMPING TRIP

We took William on his first camping trip (in the new camper) to St. Francois State Park in Bonne Terre, MO April 4-6. The nights turned out to be very chilly. We were having issues with our heater. We apparently blew a fuse, so it was a little cold until Daddy got it fixed. The day was really nice. We took William for a walk in his stroller. The poor little guy was a little cranky due to an earache he just came down with. The medicine also gave him terrible diarrhea which gave him a bad diaper rash.

FIRST TRIP

March 10-12, we took William on his first trip. We went to Montauk State Park with our friend Bill from Pensacola. The big boys got to go trout fishing. The little boy got to sleep! William was very good and the weather was great! What a treat for March. It was a little windy, but 50 degrees in March is not too bad. Especially since the week before we got 10 inches of snow!

William's Blog

We thought that this might be a good way for everyone to keep up with William. My cousin Carie is blogging for Jacob and I really enjoy reading it. I find myself checking it often so I can keep up with him. So I thought we would do the same. I really wish that I would've started this at the beginning, but I didn't. I am going to post some of the milestones until I get to the present time. Hopefully I will keep up with posting.
